The brief
A life's work, scattered everywhere.
A writer with a deep catalogue — poems, essays, scholarly publications — and nowhere to send a reader, an editor, or an institution. The work lived in PDFs, journals, and one-off links. There was no single home to browse it, and no way to grow it without calling a developer every time.
What we did
One calm, reading-first home.
- A reading-first interface. Typography and pacing built for long-form, distraction-free reading — the words come first.
- A clear catalogue. Work organised by poems, essays, and publications, so any visitor finds the right piece fast.
- A self-serve backend. Built on Next.js, TypeScript and Supabase so the author publishes new work without touching code.
- Findable by design. Clean URLs and SEO so individual pieces surface in search — not just the homepage.
